It started with a discovery

It all started when I found out that the discovery of EGF had helped earn a Nobel Prize.

I had no idea what EGF was. But I was curious, so I kept reading.

What began as a late-night search soon became something far more personal. Because for a long time, I had struggled to feel confident in my own skin. I knew what it was like to look in the mirror and focus on the dullness, the dryness and all the little changes that made me feel less like myself. I knew the quiet hope behind every new bottle, and the disappointment when it became just another product that promised too much and changed too little.

I didn't want to chase an impossible idea of perfection. I simply wanted skin that looked healthy, rested and alive. Skin I could feel comfortable in. Skin that still looked like me.

And I knew I couldn't be the only one who felt that way.

Curiosity became a purpose

The more I learned about EGF, the more fascinated I became. The discoveries of growth factors by scientists Stanley Cohen and Rita Levi-Montalcini were recognised with the 1986 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. That remarkable history is what first caught my attention.

But it was only the beginning.

I didn't want to borrow the language of science to make another miracle promise. I wanted to understand what EGF could realistically bring to modern skincare, and how it could be thoughtfully paired with complementary ingredients in a formula made for everyday life.

So Lerro began with a simple question:

Why we made the Lerro EGF Topical Serum
